Mike Romano: The Voice Behind Adventure Audiobooks

If you'd like to go into the cave with the robot you just met, turn to page 16. If you decide to stay behind with your friends, turn to page 33.

That’s how it all started for me—with the Choose Your Own Adventure series. As a kid, I was an avid reader—whether it was Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Hardy Boys, or even The Bible. My passion for reading quickly evolved into a love of storytelling, character voices, and eventually, acting.

After getting bit by the acting bug in high school and honing my craft in college, I moved to LA, where I became a regular performer at The World Famous Comedy Store. Now, with years of experience in both acting and audiobook narration, I bring stories to life through the art of sound. Let’s embark on an adventure together. I’d love to help you bring your book to life as an audiobook masterpiece.

Bringing Stories to Life: Mike Romano’s Narrations

  • Jabbok

    Amazing story—masterful narration

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A wonderful story made all the more wonderful as a chronology of racial progress made, even in Mississippi, over the last 50 years. I’m sure the print copy would be very entertaining, but the narration is an outstanding addition to the power of the story.

    Good for the soul!!

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First of all, the narrator is AMAZING! He really draws you in. The story is a good, heartwarming story with lots of layers. It was a great read! 10/10 recommend!

  • Me, Boo & the Goob

Narration is icing on a well done cake!

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Romano’s expert narration really brings the well written story alive. It’s an adventure that will take you for a joyous wild ride.

    Well Written and Hilariously Told

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I needed something that would get me through a long drive from Florida to middle Louisiana, and let’s just say, this book did not disappoint. Growing up in the south, I totally connected with all of the characters and the narrator’s “kid logic”. I found myself actually laughing out loud and being nervous to take a sip of water because at any moment it may come out of my nose. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an easy novel that brings you back to your southern roots and nostalgic moments from your childhood.

  • The Bainbridge Killings

An Exciting Prequel to "The Rock Star."

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mike Romano's narration was great. He made it interesting the way he differentiated the characters voices. He did it tastefully and he made it more involving. I wouldn't change a thing. My feel is this is a great match up with author/narrator and I look forward to more from both.

    Great short novel

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I do recommend this one. The lugubrious tones of Mike Romano drive along the tree lined coast of Bainbridge Island. The story centers around a lone detective in his quest to find a killer on a small island off the coast of Seattle Washington, near where I believe the author himself lives. After listening to it on my commute to work, an hour each way, I ended up listening to it all when I got home.

Mike Romano has that fun voice that echoes back to the 30's and Rick Soper's detective Stevens follows just enough cliches to let you know what kind of book it's going to be without going overboard.
